Presentations:

There was no specific presenter. Several of us gave our reactions to the District Conference. Steve was first and gave a summary of the conference. Attendees were welcomed on Thursday night at the Travel Lodge. There was a social time between 6 and 9:00 pm. The next morning we served at various locations in the City, including the Friendship Inn, garbage pick up at the river, and at some schools. After some sessions and lunch we were able to observe a citizenship ceremony where 25 people became Canadian citizens. Following the ceremony most of us went to Wanuskewin. On Saturday there were some more sessions, including a RAP presentation. A dinner and a live band ended the day and the conference.

Kent Smith-Windsor was happy with the RAP presentation and spoke of trying to help other venues to incorporate RAP.

Linda Petrow was pleased to learn a lot more about RAP than she knew before.

Maureen and Wynne were very happy to have been at the conference and were struck by the acceptance and general friendliness of the members. Wynne ended up staying a lot longer than she originally planned.

Wayne was impressed, having heard some other clubs presenting about successful projects, where a lot of money was raised to expand some recreational activities in Dauphin and Prince Albert (noting two of them).

Next Meeting - May 29. Presenter is Jolene Magill from Hope Restored Canada.
