At our regular March 11th meeting, our Rotary Club of Saskatoon proudly presented a cheque for $6,000 to Hope Restored Saskatoon. Ever since Maureen Torr was holding a flashlight to assist her mother, Joy Kagira, as a midwife in Uganda, she has been dedicated to helping children. After moving to Saskatoon in 2004, she became a member of our Rotary Club of Saskatoon in 2012 and officially founded Joy’s Centre, which just last year completed its $80,000 Global Grant!

October 2023
In October, the 5 Rotary Clubs of Saskatoon joined together to make a donation of $4,000 to the Saskatoon Food Bank. Rotary has been a long time supporter of this very valuable community service.

At our Rotary Foundation Dinner this November, we proudly recognized Don Lepp and Denise Palmer as our club's most recent Paul Harris Fellows for their contributions that make Rotary's efforts possible. We also awarded Elaine Zakreski, Graham Pearson, Mark Gryba, and Paul Gauthier with further Paul Harris recognition.In fact, our Rotary Club of Saskatoon now has the distinction of 100% of its members being Paul Harris Fellows. Congratulations for your commitment!

At our club’s December 19th meeting, 6 members of Our Club (the Rotary Club of Saskatoon) received their Paul Harris Fellowship awards.

This Christmas day, 6 members of Our Club, along with several members from Saskatoon’s other Rotary Clubs, helped to prepare and serve Christmas dinner at the Friendship Inn. Milestone Completed for Locally-Started Project
11 Years, an $80,000 grant, and we're just getting started!
In October 2022, our Rotary Club of Saskatoon finally completed the projects supported by an $80,000 Rotary Global Grant focussed on providing safe drinking water and basic education to improve the lives of these orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda!
Part of the Joy's Home of Hope project started by Club's our own Maureen Torr in 2011, more details on this project's beginnings and future can be found below.
Building Foodboxes and a $15,000 Donation
On December 9th, members from the 5 Rotary Clubs in Saskatoon met at Saskatoon Food Bank to present a cheque for $15,000. On Tuesday, December 6th members of the clubs also went and volunteered by building food boxes at the Food Bank warehouse.
