GUEST SPEAKER
Wayne Durksen has 35 years experience in industry and organizations extending organizational effectiveness. He is a trainer and a business leader.
The thrust of his presentation was that we need to look at our mission and “get it on the wall” as he puts it. We need to be firmly fixed on our goals and that is where the energy and momentum happens to get us where we want to be.
When we need to fund raise for example, we need to think not about how much we need to raise but rather the value of what we are shooting for.
In our society there is too much messaging shaping the minds of our children. To get their help in serving others we need to instill in them a view outside of themselves.
NEXT MEETING: Annual Christmas Luncheon on December 15. Roger Yenkins and Ronna Miller from the Salvation Army will be our guest speakers.
